Joey T\'s DHPF of the Month
July 2017
We are proud to announce, Bobby Anderson from Atlanta, GA
Name: Bobby Anderson
Currently resides in: Atlanta Georgia
Q: What city/state were you born and raised?
A: I was born in Peoria Illinois in 1984 but moved to Madison Wisconsin in 1991 where I was raised.
Q: Tell us about your Wisconsin ties? You once lived in Madison correct?
A: Yes I became a Packer fan when I lived in Madison Wisconsin from 1991 to 1997.
Q: With the Falcons building a Billion dollar Stadium and their team on the rise, what’s it like being around all those Falcon fans?
A: Yes, the Falcons have the best stadium money can buy but they all think they won the SUPERBOWL! They must’ve forgot they blew a 25 point lead on the big stage! I have earned a lot of Falcons respect by being loyal and true to my Packers since 1996 to present.
Q: Do you have a particular place in Atlanta you like to hang out with friends and fellow Packer fans on game day?
A: Yes. On game day you can find me at TJ\’s Sports bar in Roswell Georgia. One of my truly favorite things to do is to hang with the Knoxville Packer Backers. They have been great friends for quite some time now.
Q: You seem to have a very strong connection to your Packer Chevy. What made you turn your everyday vehicle into a Packer car?
A: When I was 10 years old, I would go to school and couldn\’t help noticing the other kids with Packer gear on. At that time, we could not afford Packer attire so I made a promise to myself that one day I will have a Packer room and a Packer car. I’m currently making my dreams come true and on top of it, got picked to be DHPF of the Month. I never expected that part. Humbling no doubt! Such an honor!
Q: You recently had an accident with the Packer Chevy. Are you planning on repairing it and getting it back on the road?
A: That accident scared me so much. I hydroplaned into someone from a good distance. Basically, I saw it happening and there was nothing I could do about it. I had my daughter in the Packer Chevy with me. I\’m just glad nobody was injured. Unfortunately, the Packer Chevy got totaled. Yes, I\’m in the process of making a new PACKER CHEVY APOCALYPSE which will be ready before week 1 Packers vs Seahawks.
Q: How many times have you been to Lambeau Field? What was your first experience in Green Bay like?
A: My first experience at LAMBEAU FIELD was December 13, 2015, PACKERS vs COWBOYS. I was hoping for snow but Wisconsin received a late winter and it rained all day. The Packers won 28-7 and I had the time of my life. I will never forget walking into Lambeau Field and Instantly tears of Joy began falling from my face. I never dreamed I would make it inside the Stadium. The atmosphere was energetic! It was so loud it got me really pumped. The Packer fans kept the noise level up the whole time. I literally got goose bumps every time they scored a TD. It was also great to meet Steve “The Owner” Tate for the first time at that game. He is truly an awesome guy. Lambeau was exactly what I thought it would be. It was epic! To this day, I will never forget the feeling walking into game inside seeing a game inside my team’s stadium. A moment in time I will never ever forget. It was so great to just soak it all in.
Q: Do you have a particular Packer item or garment that you wear frequently?
A: Yes I wear my custom PACKER OWNER JERSEY with my cheese head helmet. I also wear my Super Bowl replica ring from 2011, which also has my name on it.
Q. What is your best moment with another Packer fan in your area? Any good stories?
A: Well, one good story is, I have been friends with Philip Padilla for 4 years on Facebook. I had never saw him in person but through social media we decided to go to see our Packers play Green Bay. So he flew out to my place even though we only knew each other on FB. We’ve been brothers ever since. I only knew Leslie Thurn and Lee Shell on Facebook and finally we met them in person as well for a game. Now we are all really good friends. It\’s incredible how Packers Fandom can bring people together. I love that part as well.
Q.What would be your most valuable Packer memorabilia piece? (non-monetarial)
A: My most valuable Packer memorabilia would have to be my Packer man cave. When I walk into that room I feel so relaxed and calm. Love my Green Bay Packers. The effect they have on me is that powerful. Those of us that are true Die Hard Fans understand that. When they say it’s in our blood…..we mean it!
Q: Who is your favorite player now and why?
A: Aaron Rodgers would have to be my favorite player now. I love how he is a leader and can change the game at any second. With 5 seconds left on the clock, Rodgers can still win the game. Those Hail Mary\’s that he threw are so memorable. He is the best QB in the NFL Period!
Q: Who is your all time favorite player and why?
A: Donald Driver is my all-time favorite player. Catching footballs from Brett Favre was difficult because of the velocity and it seemed like Donald rarely dropped passes from him. He was consistent and reliable at all times. When Driver gets a first down he does his Dukin Dance. 🙂
Q: Do you have any game day rituals/superstitions?
A: On game day, I suit up in my Packer gear head to toe. Immediately I become ready and pumped. I even drive around in Packer Chevy just to get my blood flowing. I know that sounds crazy but it’s true. lol
Q: Any last words you\’d like to say to the Packer Nation?
A: I would love to thank everyone who ever supported myself and the Packer Chevy. Also, all my Packer friends around the world. We are definitely the best fans. I love all of you!
I would also like to thank Tracy and Dave Randow for being my favorite Auntie and Uncle. They opened up their home in Green Bay for me. If it was not for them, I would have not been able to experience LAMBEAU FIELD in 2015. Thank you so much and I love you two more than you know. As always, GO PACK GO!!!
