October 2016

We are proud to announce, Allesia Lisa Bassett fromWalls, MS

Allesia Lisa Bassett

Name:  Allesia Lisa Bassett

Currently resides in: Walls, Mississippi

Q: What city/state were you born and raised?

A: Tuscaloosa, Alabama raised in Jackson, MS

Q: What is your earliest memory of being a DHPF?

A: The earliest memory I have of becoming a DHPF is when I became a fan in 1995. I have been a Die Hard since the moment I declared, the Packers will be my football team.

Q: Do you make all of your outfits?

A: I do not make all my outfits. I do have some traditional pieces; however, I try to wear them in untraditional ways.  I started having things made because of my desire to never be like the next person.  I have always tried to set myself apart from everyone else.

Q: Who is your least favorite team and why?

A: My least favorite team by far is the Dallas Cowboys. The reason being, their fans are the most obnoxious delusional people I know.

Q: Finish this sentence.  Green Bay Packer’s Football is

A: the epitome of winning!

Q: How long have you been into fitness and what made you get so deep into it?

A: I have been into fitness for about two years. The reason I started working out was because I looked in the mirror one day and was horrified at what I saw. While everyone said I wasn\’t fat that is not what I saw. I was no longer the thin girl I had known and loved. My stomach was becoming round and with my small legs and arms, I looked like a starvation victim. With any task I undertake, I totally immerse myself in the activity. When some of the guys in the gym saw my work ethic, they suggested I try bodybuilding. The rest is history.

Q: How did you become such a serious Packer fan?

A: I am just an overall loyal person. I have been a Die Hard Fan of both baseball, (Cubs) and basketball,(Lakers) teams since I was eight years old. I didn\’t like football growing up because I thought it was a weak sport.  However, when I started liking the  Packers, just because who I am, there was no doubt, I would be a serious fan.

Q: How many Packer games do you attend a year?

A: At the very least, I attend one game a year. This year I will attend three, maybe four games.  Really looking forward to all of them.

Q: Who is your all-time favorite player?  Who is your favorite player now? Why?

A: My all-time favorite player is Reggie White. He is the reason I am a Packers\’ fan. I loved how he dominated as one of the toughest defensive ends, yet he was so spiritual. His spirituality, his genuine attitude, and his dominance will never be replicated in the NFL. Truthfully, I have not had a favorite player since Reggie left. I am totally committed to the Green Bay Packers and have no loyalty to any particular player. My philosophy is if you have loyalty to a player, you tend to lose sight of what is best for the team as a whole.

Q: Do you have any game day rituals/superstitions?

A: I am not a superstitious person. The closest thing I have to a ritual is making sure I am wearing something green and gold that is Packers related.  I do it every game. This is not hard for me because I haven’t taken off my Packer bracelets in six years.

Q: Any last words you\’d like to say to the Packer Nation?

A: We as Packers\’ fans are all different. Those differences may cause us to show our emotions for the team, in different ways. Just because a person does not support the  team in the same manner as you, that does not mean he or she is any less of a fan. We should rejoice in the fact that we all love the Packers in our own way and not be judgemental. If the person is a \”bandwagoner\” by all means judge away!  Go Pack Go!
