Packers welcome the Cards to Lambeau this Sunday at Noon
The Packers return home and return to playing a Noon (Central Time) game as they host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Both teams are coming off road victories in California. The Packers defeated the Rams 24-19 in Inglewood while the Cardinals won 24-23 vs the 49ers in Santa Clara. The Packers are 3-2 while the Cardinals are 2-3.
Kyler Murray got sacked 11 times so far this season, but when he is upright, he can be a lot of trouble for opposing defenses, both with his arm and with his legs. Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson are capable of making huge plays down the field. We need an effective pass rush on Sunday. Murray might also want to see where Xavier McKinney is because McKinney has an interception in each game so far this year. Sacks and turnovers will go a long way on Sunday as they often do in any game.
Jordan Love is now off the injury report. He shook off a terrible interception last Sunday and was very effective to end the half and also to start the third quarter. Josh Jacobs finally reached the endzone. Let’s get him there again. Romeo Doubs is back with the team, and if he wants to make a statement, go out there on Sunday and have a career game. Tucker Kraft needs the ball because he knows how to turn routine catches into big plays. Let’s score early and often, especially if Arizona has it going offensively, and they are certainly more than capable of putting up a lot of points.
Kicker Brayden Narveson nailed his only FG attempt last Sunday. Let’s have another clean game from him, and hopefully he will be kicking a lot of extra points instead. Arizona returned a kickoff for a touchdown at Buffalo in Week 1. If it happened before, it can happen again. Let’s make the tackle on special teams and own the field position.
Arizona is a tough team to figure out. Are they a good team or a bad team? They lost home games to Detroit and Washington, but we can’t overlook the 41-10 thumping the Cardinals put on the Rams in Week 2. As I mentioned earlier, they also defeated the 49ers on the road. You can argue the 49ers are dealing with injuries or have a Super Bowl hangover, but you still have to go out there and beat them, especially on the road. It’s a mistake to overlook any team, and I think the Packers need to come out and bring their “A” game. If they fail to do so, they could be on the wrong side of the final score this Sunday.
Jordan Love is back on the field but still trails Malik Willis 2 victories to 1. Let’s get him his first home win. Wherever you are, enjoy the game on Sunday and make your voices heard!
