Packers look to create a winning streak as they host the Titans on Thursday night.
The Packers have a quick turnaround from Sunday’s thrilling win as they play host to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football.
The Packers improved to 4-6 after their 31-28 overtime victory vs the Dallas Cowboys. The Titans improved to 6-3 after winning 17-10 at home vs the Denver Broncos.
Ryan Tannehill might not ever be listed as one of the top quarterbacks in the league, but he is often efficient. It helps a lot that he has Derrick Henry in the backfield. That guy is amazing. He is a threat to score at any given moment. Their leading receiver is Robert Woods with 266 yards on just 24 receptions. The running game is what really makes this offense go. Let’s stop the run and get some turnovers.
Aaron Rodgers may have found a formula that works. Aaron Jones and the running game was a huge part of their offense on Sunday vs the Cowboys. Christian Watson finally had a breakout performance. The Titans get a lot of sacks and takeaways. The Packers need to avoid both and keep their offense on the field.
The Packers continue to struggle with special teams. They released Amari Rodgers, who fumbled the ball too many times. Mason Crosby had a bad miss vs the Cowboys, but he nailed the game-winner.
Was that dramatic overtime victory vs the Cowboys a season-saver for the Packers, or was it a fluke? The Cowboys have been known to disappoint quite a bit, at least since the 1996 season. Games on Thursday night can be very unpredictable. The one good thing about this game is the Packers can get some extended time off after this game.
The Titans are leading their division and have looked good at times and awful at other times. They got blown out at Buffalo but played Kansas City tough before losing in overtime. It’s easy to forget that they were the #1 seed last year. In fact, both teams playing in this game were the top seed a season ago. The Packers will have their hands full with this team on Thursday night.
The fans finally had something to cheer about this last Sunday and they have a chance to do it again. The Packers will be wearing white uniforms, which they have done before in past seasons. Let’s get ready to cheer on the team as they go for their 2nd win in 5 days.
