Packers look to take down reeling Redskins at home
The 9-3 Green Bay Packers are set to take on the 3-9 Washington Redskins at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The Packers are coming off of a blowout win against the New York Giants 31-13 while Washington is coming off of 29-21 win over the Carolina Panthers.
Green Bay is looking like a very strong team heading into the final weeks of the regular season. The biggest factor as to why would be the emergence of WR Allen Lazard on offense. Rodgers finally has someone opposite Adams that he can trust to find the ball in crucial situations. Green Bay’s offense is starting to bloom at the right time. Washington’s gameplan going into it is trying to stop the run game and make Aaron Rodgers beat them — yeah, we’ll see how that turns out. I doubt it ends well for them.
I think Green Bay will end up winning by a score of 35-10. Washington’s only strength on offense would be the run game with Adrian Peterson and rookie Derrius Guice. If Green Bay plans to slow down Washington offensively, they’ll need to focus on shutting down both of them in the run and pass-catching game. With the three turnovers forced last week against New York, look for them to rattle QB Dwayne Haskins. They’ll more than likely force more turnovers by utilizing great pass rush along with secondary play. Green Bay is looking to get to 10-3 for the first time since week 14 of the 2014 season.
